We are pleased to announce the upcoming release of the new SDK for the Zedboard, a development kit based on the Xilinx Zynq® -7000 All Programmable SoC. Now all the power of the ARM Cortex™ - A9 and the flexibility of the FPGA design are integrated on a single SoC and supported by the RidgeRun SDK simplifying your development cycle.
Our integration involves using the Xilinx tools to create the binary image to load into the FPGA core. Our RidgeRun SDK then builds the image to run on the ARM, including bootloader, kernel, and target file system. ARM - FPGA communication is simplified using a soon to be announced Linux driver that will be included with the RidgeRun SDK. See our Zynq Linux application FPGA data exchange documentation containing an example to get you started.
